Went on to serve as a dentist and oral surgeon with partial support from the GI Bill, active Kiwanian, hunter and excellent fly fisherman and golfer. Never spoke of the war before in his 80s but was a fun and loving grandfather and great-grandfather who only ever became angry if one person mistreated another.
