<i class="material-icons" data-template="memories-icon">chat_bubble</i><br/>Francis Joseph Kielian<br/><div class='remember-wall-long-description'>Born to his Polish and Austrian parents in Baltimore City, MD, Francis joined the Coast Guard as a young adult and sailed the seven seas aboard the USS Joseph T. Dickman--crossing the equator on the 10th of January, 1943. Almost a year and a half later Francis and his shipmates were storming Utah Beach in the D-Day Normandy landings. Friends were sadly lost that day and remembered throughout his life. Returning home, Francis raised four children with wife, Lillie, and retired from Bethlehem Steel. He passed from this life to his eternal home on Memorial Day weekend in May of 2005.
