Welcome to the IN0095 - AMP Cemetery Group's Wreaths Across America Page.
On December 14, 2024 at 12:00 pm, IN0095 - AMP Cemetery Group will be helping Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.
Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Billy Beller joined the Air Force in 1965 after graduating from the Air Force Academy. He had planned to be a career officer and retire after 20 years or so. After completing his tour of duty in Vietnam, he and his family were stationed in Amsterdam, Holland for 2 years before coming back to the states. Billy loved to fly more than anything. His wife, Cynthia, always said that was the real love of his life. But we all knew his real loves were Cynthia and his two small children. While they were stationed in Tacoma, Wash., Billy suffered a massive coronary at the age of 31, leaving his family and friends devastated.

Wesley Benjamin Brinkley, Uncle Wes, enlisted in the Army on January 17, 1941, almost a year before the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served in the artillery for 7 months before joining the Army Air Corps. When he was commissioned as a 2nd Lt., he wrote home saying, “Am I happy!” He was waiting on his 1st Lt. Commission when he was killed in action. His last letter to his parents on Dec. 8th said how excited he was going to be to get that and it should be there any day now. He was shot down over Germany 5 days later on Dec. 13, 1943.

Directions to Cemetery
Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery. We are at the top of the hill just north of the Amphitheater at the corner of Mesker Park Drive and Wimberg Ave. Enter this address into your GPS: 2200 Mesker Park Drive. When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.
Parking Instructions
There is plenty of parking at this cemetery, so feel free to park in any available spot.Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Alexander Memorial Park Cemetery. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
- Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
- Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
- We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for helping Wreaths achieve our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach.
