Welcome to the CT0121 Wreaths Across America page. On December 16, 2023 at 12 o'clock Noon, in St. Michael's Cemetery - Ansonia, CT - everyone is invited to Remember and Honor our Veterans by placing a wreaths on the graves of individuals who served in our country's military branches. Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering with us on December 16th, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you. Thank you so much for supporting the Catholic War Veterans Post 1562 event and Wreaths Across America!

Directions to Cemetery
St Michael's Cemetery - Silver Hill Rd, Ansonia, CT 06401
Navigation systems do an adequate job finding the cemetery.
When you arrive, please follow the people and signs to the site of the ceremony itself.
- From RT 8 South take Exit 19 WAKELEE AVE and stay to LEFT
- Turn Left and proceed about 1 mile.
- Turn Right on HULL ST and continue about 1/2 mile to the stop sign at SILVER HILL ROAD.
- Turn Left on to Silver Hill Road and continue for about 1/2 mile.
- Cemetery entrance will be on your right.
- From RT 8 North take Exit 18 DIVISION ST and stay to LEFT
- Turn Left and in about one tenth of a mile bear RIGHT on to SILVER HILL ROAD.
- Silver Hill Road this is a very windy road be careful!
- Continue for about 3/4 mile.
- Cemetery entrance will be on your left as you reach the crest of the hill.
Parking Instructions
Parking is available in the lower section of the cemetery.
Please leave the upper section available for wreath delivery and veteran parking.
Volunteers can park in the lot at the caretaker garage
Ceremony and Volunteer Information
We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America [WAA] ceremony at St. Michael's Cemetery in Ansonia, CT. Please do not forget to register to volunteer and receive periodic updates from WAA.
Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
- The public is encouraged to attend the program.
- Follow the location coordinators instructions on how and where to place the wreath.
- Please help ensure that all volunteer wreath layers have the opportunity obtain and place a wreath at one or more of the 800 Veteran grave sites.
- Volunteers who wish to assist with pre-program set-up and break down of event items should leave a message for KATHY by calling CWV Post 1562 at (203) 734 - 9748.
Our Wreaths Across America program is an educational and patriotic event for individuals of all ages, so if you have not attended one before, please join us and extend the invite to family, friends and co-workers.

Welcome to Catholic War Veterans - St. Michael Post 1562 and Auxiliary's page for Wreaths Across America. We sincerely thank you for helping us with our goal to honor all the Veterans laid to rest in St. Michael's Cemetery. Kindly join us on Saturday, December 16, 2023 for our short program and wreath laying. Please arrive by 11:45 AM as our program begins at 12 o'clock noon. Afterwards, refreshments will be served at Post 1562 located at 112 Derby Avenue, Derby, CT. Thank you for clicking "Sponsor" to purchase wreaths that will be laid on the graves of our fallen heroes by our loyal volunteers.
