REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

Welcome to the NY0417P - Bristol Hills Historical Society's Wreaths Across America Page.

Among the first pioneers to settle in the Bristol Hills were many veterans of the Revolutionary War. They, along with hundreds of other veterans are buried in the many small local cemeteries in Bristol and South Bristol. Beginning in 2022, the Bristol Hills Historical Society has honored the history and legacy of Bristol Hill veterans by participating with Wreaths Across America.

On December 14, 2024 (See location pages for ceremony and wreath placement details), the Bristol Hills Historical Society will Remember and Honor many of our local veterans by laying Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes at the Bristol Center, Vincent Hill, Coye and Wilder Cemeteries. Click Locations in the upper banner above to learn more about each of these locations.

Beginning in 2024, the Bristol Hills Historical Society asks that you consider sponsoring wreaths for veteran graves in other local cemeteries, including Evergreen (Bristol), Academy & Hunn (Canandaigua) and Overacker (Middlesex). Wreaths sponsored in excess of the needs of our small cemeteries will be shared to these area locations. You can learn more about these locations and help sponsor their wreaths by clicking on Locations in the banner above.

Please help us honor and remember as many fallen heroes as possible by sponsoring remembrance wreaths, volunteering on Wreaths Day, or inviting your family and friends to attend with you.

Thank you so much for supporting the NY0417P - Bristol Hills Historical Society and Wreaths Across America!

Ceremony and Volunteer Information

We are happy that you are willing to help with our Wreath Across America ceremony at Bristol Center & Vincent Hill Cemeteries. Please do not forget to register to volunteer! That way you will get all updates about the cemetery itself.

Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:

  • Everyone of all ages and backgrounds is welcome.
  • Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
  • Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as "how" they should be placed.
  • We especially appreciate volunteers willing to help clean-up. Please check in with the location coordinator if you are interested in helping with the clean-up.
  • We will need volunteers to travel to and place wreaths at veterans' graves in the Vincent Hill (Bristol), Wilder (South Bristol) and Coye (South Bristol) Cemeteries. Each of these locations are a short distance from Bristol Center and we will place wreaths AFTER the 12:00 Noon ceremony on December 16th,

The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for help Wreaths achieve our mission to remember, honor and teach.
