Welcome to the Virginia Veterans Cemetery Wreaths Across America Page.

On December 14, 2014, a Wreath Laying Ceremony will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of REMEMBRANCE wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes.  The event begins at 11:30am with the arrival of the ceremonial wreaths escorted by local law enforcement, the Patriot Guard Riders and other dedicated motorcyclists.  The ceremony begins at 12:00 noon followed by the wreath laying.  The names of the fallen are spoken aloud during placement to ensure the fallen and their sacrifices are never forgotten.

The wreath laying event itself is very popular however fundraising in order to have enough wreaths to achieve our goal of placing a wreath at every hero's place of rest has become increasingly difficult. This year in order to accomplish full cemetary coverage we must secure sponsorship for over 5700 wreaths through private donations.   In order to assist in achieving this goal we have created the "Friends of the Virginia Veterans Cemetery" (VA1031) fundraising group which provides for an additional or 3rd wreath for every 2 sponsored.  The link for this avenue of sponsorship is below:

We have also established a Facebook page for this event to provide additional information.  Please find the link to the "Wreaths Across America at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery" below:

Please spread the word about this event and the urgent need for wreath sponsorship.  Last year we had over 3000 people in attendance and with higher grave count and larger crowds expected we need your support.  Please sponsor a wreath and spread the word to you family, friends and coworkers to support this very worthy cause.

Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible through the Friends Group link above or by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to join you.

Please help us REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

Thank you so much for supporting the Virginia Veterans Cemetery and Wreaths Across America!
