REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

Welcome to the Holy Cross Cemetery's Wreaths Across America Page. On December 14, 2024 the Quiet Corner Veterans Support Coalition will be honoring our local heroes with a wreath laying ceremony as we have over the past few years.  This is sacred ground and these are exceptional individuals to whom we owe our respect and gratitude. We are thankful for the Town of Killingly, all of our emergency services departments, the Danielson Elks BPOE 1706 and the Elks Riders of BPOE 1706, E Killingly VFW Post 4098, American Legion Post 21 and our entire business community members such as Frito Lay and the PepsiCo Valor Program who raise awareness, provide sponsorships and volunteers to bring this important mission to our community.  There are honestly too many to mention.

Over the past couple of years we have had the honor of working with Killingly High School's community service students, the Nachaug River Young Marines and cadets from the Civil Air Patrol CT074. We also host local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops working to honor our local heroes. The St. James Cheer Squad joined us in 2023 and we look forward to working with them and all of these amazing young people in 2024 and beyond.

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Noon, Wreaths Across America will be at Holy Cross Cemetery to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country's fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Please help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible by clicking the red "Sponsor" button. Or, if you would like to volunteer to participate in the wreath laying ceremony, please click the “Volunteer” button next to the cemetery name below, and don't forget to click the "Invite" button to invite your friends and family to join you.
