2024 So Far
0.5% to Goal

REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.
Welcome to the PA0134 - Marine Corps League Washington County Detachment 1138 Wreaths Across America Page. We participate in the "3-for-2 Program." For every two wreaths purchased, a third one will be provided at no additional cost. 100% of all of our fundraising efforts go directly toward the purchase of wreaths for our Fallen.
Our Detachment has been fundraising for the Wreath Across America program to benefit the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies since 2015. Each year our fundraising goals have increased. In 2023, we were fortunate to have received $12,791 in donations. Since we participate in the "3-for-2 Program" and the "Wreaths Match Program" each year, we were able to place 1,330 wreaths at the Cemetery.
We are proud to be part of the effort which has covered each and every grave of our Fallen for the ninth year in a row! This success could not have been achieved without the generosity of people like you . . . and we are truly grateful! Please accept our heartfelt thanks to all who have donated through us and for remembering and honoring our Fallen Heroes. Here's to the tenth year of covering all graves at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies!
On Saturday, January 18, 2025, Detachment 1138 will be helping the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with Clean Up of the Wreaths. Please plan to volunteer with us. It will warm your heart and enlighten your Christmas spirit when you see how many show up on this day!
We are always continuing our fundraising efforts, with the hopes to achieve nine years of covering every grave at the National Cemetery. Won't you join us in achieving this goal?

Parking Instructions
For our annual wreath laying ceremony in December, we are blessed to receive an abundance of support from our community and average an attendance of around 3,000 volunteers every year. To that end, traffic and parking can be very challenging. Please give yourself plenty of time to get here when planning your commute. We are working with the local police department as well as the VA police again this year to help manage traffic.
Ceremony and Volunteer Information
Each year, approximately 2,000 new veterans are laid to rest at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. Therefore, the need for wreaths is always growing. Each handmade, fresh, live wreath is made in the United States with Maine balsam. The cost to sponsor one wreath is $17. We are grateful for any amount of generosity you can offer and are appreciative of your time for consideration.
