Nothing will ever be the same. While we understand that we are not to grieve like those who have no hope, there are times when things feel bleak and unbearable. Thank you for your service to your family and your country. Without men and women like you, willing to make that sacrifice, we would not have the freedoms that we have in this country. We honestly don’t know how we will go on without you in our lives, but we are trying to find solace in the fact that you are with the Lord walking on streets of gold, no longer in pain and having to endure the hardships of this life. We would give anything to have you back so that you could watch your grandchildren become men. Graduating high school, getting married, making me us grandparents one day and you a great grandad, but that was not in the Lord’s plan. For whatever reason, He decided to call you home before we got the chance to experience those things together. But know that you will be sorely missed and we will continue to love you and the memories that we all shared while you here on Earth.
