In Honor Of for SFC Richard F. Weaver, Navy, Honored by Wilmington National Cemetery

In honor of my father, Richard F. Weaver, who passed only recently. He served, as a very young man, in the Navy during WWII as a nose (bow) gunner in a Martin PBM seaplane unit in the Pacific theater. He served much longer as a father in the best ways he knew how, always with humble consideration for others and a lovely sense of humor.

In Honor Of for PFC M. Reginald Weaver, Marine Corps, Honored by Wilmington National Cemetery

In honor of PFC M. Reginald Weaver, my father's brother. He served in the 5th Div, 27th Regiment of the USMC during WWII, and was one of many who died during the Battle of Iwo Jima in March 1945. He had been a star multi-sport athlete and president of his senior class before enlisting to serve his country. My father, his younger brother, admired him deeply, missed him terribly, and served in the US Navy.
