Welcome to the PA0062 - In Memory of USMC Sgt Christopher M Wrinkle and MWD K-9 SSgt Tosca's Wreaths Across America Page.
Our family became involved with the non-profit organization, Wreaths Across America following the death of my son, USMC Sgt Christopher M Wrinkle and his military working dog, Tosca. They were killed in a barracks fire in Herat, Afghanistan on July 31, 2011. We were afraid that as time passed Christopher and Tosca’s sacrifice would be forgotten. We needed to do something to honor his memory. For the past eight years, we have been laying veterans’ wreaths on the grave sites of our local veterans at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. we have been joined by local veteran groups, church organizations, scouting groups and other civic organizations in sponsoring and laying of these veterans’ wreaths. Last year’s donations provided us with >900 wreaths. There are approximately 3,000 veterans’ graves contained within the Veteran’s section at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. There are many more veterans’ graves scattered throughout remainder of the cemetery.
My goal is to be able to cover each veteran’s grave with a wreath this year. I’m asking for your help.
