2024 So Far
0.5% to Goal
1,990 To Go!
Thanks to the support of donors, volunteers and other nonprofit groups, in 2023, we are able to: (a) place wreaths on 2,880 veteran graves in all 4 Bryan/College Station City Cemeteries and 56 other Brazos Valley cemeteries, (b) co-sponsor the 2nd POW-MIA ceremony, (c) complete phase one of the Veterans of Brazos Valley Memorial (VBVM) and (d) support the Brazos Valley Veterans Express (BVVE) vans. In April 2023, we were honored to co-host The Wall That Heals Aggieland for the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War's end.
Our goal for 2024 is to complete phase two of VBVM, with 20 granite section markers for Bryan City and Oakwood Cemeteries. Our collaborations with other Veteran and community groups this year include Medal of Honor Day (3/25), Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - Never Forget Garden at Veterans Park in May, and several 80th anniversary of WWII events (D-Day: June 6, 1944 and Battle of the Bulge: December 16, 1944), Recurring observances include Vietnam Veterans Day (3/29) and POW MIA Day (3rd Friday in September).
When you sponsor a wreath ($17) for a veteran grave, it helps Gold Star Help - Wreaths Across America (WAA) Brazos Valley Cemetery Supporters, with its many year-round projects, such as cemetery & headstone cleanings, veterans & caregiver outreach and educational programs.
Checks, payable to WAA, may be mailed to:
PO Box 1000-College Station, TX 77841
As always, the checks will be forward to WAA-HQ, so as to ensure that wreath sponsorships are properly credited towards wreaths that will be placed on Brazos Valley veteran graves.
Thank you so much for supporting the TX0275P - Cemetery Supporters - Gold Star Help and Wreaths Across America!
